Embark on the Druk Path Trek, a 10-day adventure through Bhutan’s stunning landscapes. Starting in Paro, hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery before trekking through dense forests, alpine meadows, and serene lakes. Daily Itinerary for Druk Path Trek (10 Days)

  • Day 1: Arrival in Paro

    Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day visiting Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum to get acquainted with Bhutanese culture and history. In the evening, prepare for the trek and rest at your hotel.

  • Day 2: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

    Start your journey with a hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. After descending, spend the evening at leisure in Paro and prepare for the trek starting the next day.

  • Day 3: Paro to Jele Dzong

    Begin your trek with a gradual climb through pine forests to Jele Dzong. The trek takes about 4-5 hours. Set up camp near Jele Dzong (3,450m) and enjoy the stunning views of the Paro Valley and Mount Jomolhari.

  • Day 4: Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha

    Trek from Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha, passing through dense alpine forests and rhododendron trees. The trail offers beautiful views of the Himalayan range. This day’s trek takes about 3-4 hours. Camp at Jangchulakha (3,770m).

  • Day 5: Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho

    Continue trekking to Jimilang Tsho, a stunning alpine lake known for its crystal-clear waters and trout. The trail involves several ascents and descents, taking about 4-5 hours. Camp near the lake at 3,870m and enjoy the serene surroundings.

  • Day 6: Jimilang Tsho to Simkotra Tsho

    Trek from Jimilang Tsho to Simkotra Tsho, another beautiful lake surrounded by rocky terrain and dwarf rhododendron bushes. The trek takes about 4-5 hours. Camp at Simkotra Tsho (4,110m), with impressive views of the mountains.

  • Day 7: Simkotra Tsho to Phajoding

    Today’s trek leads you to Phajoding, passing through several mountain passes with spectacular views of the Thimphu Valley and the surrounding peaks. The trek takes about 5-6 hours. Camp at Phajoding (3,600m) near the monastery.

  • Day 8: Phajoding to Thimphu

    Descend from Phajoding to Thimphu through a forested trail, taking about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the capital city. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma, and Tashichho Dzong.

  • Day 9: Thimphu Sightseeing – Drive to Paro

    Spend the morning exploring Thimphu’s cultural sites, such as the Folk Heritage Museum and Handicrafts Emporium. In the afternoon, drive back to Paro (1.5 hours). Check into your hotel and relax for the evening.

  • Day 10: Departure from Paro

    Enjoy your final breakfast in Bhutan before being transferred to Paro International Airport for your departure. Reflect on the incredible journey and the memories made during the Druk Path Trek as you bid farewell to Bhutan.
