Tour Overview

Nomads are the people who spend their lives tending to cattle. Their way of living is completely different from the rest of us. They endure a lots of hardships and live with absence of basic amnesties, yet, they are the most happiest people.
In Bhutan, we can visit two most popular nomadic villages, Laya in the West and Meark in the Eastern part of Bhutan. These people are a small group of tribal people who has their own dress and unique culture that makes them special.
Different nomads in different places keep cattle like yaks, cows and sheep. As it is winter, nomads move down to lower altitude where we can drive around to see them. Most of the herders would have returned home with their animals from the mountains, so it is the best time to visit and get a glimpse of their life.
We can observe them doing their daily chores like preparing their food, milking the cattle, making butter and cheese etc.
Visiting the nomads is an experiential learning for our life, we get to understand the true essence of happiness and being contended. These people are the most “TRUE” and unspoilt breed of humans. They live in constant touch with nature and their pastoral lives have given them the true knowledge and ideal way of living. No jealousy, no envy, no desire simply living for the sake of animals. They are the most honest people.
Simplicity is the true essence of life and we get to understand when we meet these nomads.
Our visit to their village can enhance their livelihood as we shall be contributing to their revenue as we shall be staying in their homes.
It is going to be adventurous and exciting to live in a world far away disconnected from rest of the world.
