For Visitors from India, Bangladesh, and Maldives:

  • Visa Requirement: No visa is required.
  • Entry Permit: Obtainable upon arrival at the port of entry by presenting a valid passport (with at least 6 months of validity) and recent passport size photo. Indian nationals may also use your Voter Identity Card.
  • Online Permit System: An optional system is available through registered Bhutanese tour operators or TCB-certified hotels. This allows for obtaining permits and route clearances in advance, applicable for entry via Paro and Phuntsholing.
  • For Indian SDF of Rs.1200.00 per head per Day is applicable.

For Visitors from Other Countries:

  • Visa Requirement: A visa clearance is mandatory before traveling to Bhutan.
  • Visa Application Process:
    • Tour Operator Coordination: The visa process must be facilitated by a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or an associated foreign travel agent.
    • Document Submission: You must submit the photo page of your passport(with at least 6 months of validity) and recent passport size photo to us. We will help you to process and obtain the visa.
    • Payment: The full holiday payment, including a USD $40 visa fee and USD 100 per day per head must be wired to our CD account.
    • Processing Time: The visa clearance is typically processed within 72 working hours after payment is received.
  • Upon Arrival: Tourists must present the visa clearance letter at the point of entry, where the visa will be stamped into your passport.
