Daily Itinerary for Photography Tour (9 Days)

Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Drive to Thimphu
Arrive at Paro International Airport, where your guide will greet you. Drive to Thimphu, capturing the lush landscapes, traditional Bhutanese houses, and the picturesque Paro Chu River along the way. Check into your hotel in Thimphu. In the evening, explore Thimphu town for twilight photography opportunities.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
Visit the Buddha Dordenma for panoramic views of Thimphu Valley and photograph its massive statue. Head to the National Memorial Chorten to capture intricate details and locals in prayer. Continue to the National Library for shots of traditional Bhutanese architecture. In the afternoon, photograph Tashichho Dzong and its grand architecture against the setting sun. Enjoy your evening at leisure.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha
Drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochula Pass for panoramic views of the Himalayas and photos of the 108 chortens. Visit Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers, for stunning architectural and landscape photos. Check into your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening.

Day 4: Punakha – Excursion to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal
Photograph Chimi Lhakhang, the Fertility Temple, and its unique setting. Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten for captivating valley views and intricate architectural details. Return to Punakha and capture the evening light on the river and dzong.

Day 5: Punakha to Paro
Drive back to Paro, stopping along the way to photograph scenic landscapes and traditional villages. Visit the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong reconstruction site to understand traditional Bhutanese building techniques. Arrive in Paro, check into your hotel, and enjoy the evening exploring and photographing the town.

Day 6: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Embark on a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. Capture breathtaking landscape and architectural photos during the hike. AfterLunch, visit the Drukgyel Dzong for additional historical and architectural photography and Dungtse Lhakhang, a unique chorten-shaped temple with detailed religious paintings.Spend the rest of the day exploring Paro town.

Day 7: Paro to Haa Valley
Drive to Haa Valley, known for its serene landscapes and traditional farmhouses. Check into a local farmhouse for an immersive experience. Spend the day photographing the tranquil valley, traditional architecture, and rural life. Enjoy the authentic Bhutanese experience and hospitality at your farmhouse.

Day 8: Haa Valley – Return to Paro
Continue exploring Haa Valley in the morning, capturing additional scenes of serene landscapes and local culture. Drive back to Paro in the afternoon. Spend the rest of the day capturing any final shots of Paro and preparing for departure.

Day 10: Departure from Paro
Enjoy your final breakfast in Bhutan before being transferred to Paro International Airport for your departure. Reflect on your photographic journey through Bhutan’s stunning landscapes, architecture, and culture as you bid farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
